Program Coordinator – Community Connections and Engagement

JIAS Toronto is seeking a Program Coordinator – Community Connections and Engagement to support volunteer recruitment, program planning, and community outreach. This role helps develop and implement programs that support the settlement and well-being of newcomers and refugees while fostering community engagement.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement programs that support newcomer integration and well-being.
  • Identify program participants through agency caseloads, referrals, and outreach.
  • Coordinate marketing, outreach, and volunteer recruitment.
  • Cultivate community partnerships and provide educational programming.
  • Monitor and evaluate program activities to meet deliverables.
  • Support program budgets and reporting requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Qualificatons:

Candidates require a degree or diploma in Human Services, Social Work, or a related field, with experience in the settlement, non-profit, or social service sectors. Proven expertise in community engagement, program coordination, and volunteer recruitment is essential. Strong organizational, communication, and Microsoft Office skills are required, with Salesforce experience preferred. Ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel within the GTA is necessary. Fluency in languages relevant to JIAS Toronto’s client base is an asset.
