Our mission is to provide high-quality, cutting-edge, educational, therapeutic, and recreational programs for infants, children and teens with special needs, and to assist their families by offering support and respite.
Kayla’s Children Centre is looking for enthusiastic, experienced, and dedicated lifeguards to join our team. As a Lifeguard, you will support the vision of creating the most meaningful and healthy futures for all children, youth, and families by providing a safe aquatic environment for children, youth, and adults who do and don’t have disabilities in a fully integrated setting. You will provide supervision for our non-instructional and recreational aquatics program.

Responsibilities
As a hybrid Instructor/Lifeguard, you will be responsible for:
- Monitoring instructional and recreational swimming activities, including patrolling the pool deck and scanning the water, as well as monitoring patrons and volunteers to ensure a safe swim environment.
- Instructing and leading group or individual lessons: creating and implementing weekly lesson plans.
- Enforcing the Ministry Health Regulations, maintaining appropriate daily records and documentation, and reporting any relevant information to the appropriate supervisor.
- Carrying an aid at all times, performing emergency rescues to the standard of your certifications, responding to patron inquiries, resolving problems, and performing associated public education duties.
- Setting up the pool deck prior to your shift & cleaning the deck following your shift.
- Attendance at all scheduled staff training.
- Keeping all awards current.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
Job type: Full-time, on-site.
Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
Schedule: 8 hour shifts Sunday to Thursday
Qualificatons:
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Standard First Aid with CPR Level C
- National Lifeguard Service
- Successful candidates will be required to provide a satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check
- National Lifeguard Instructor as asset
