JOB POSTING: BNEI AKIVA SCHOOLS COMMUNITY AND ALUMNI ENGAGEMENT COORDINATOR
- Develop and implement strategies to engage alumni and encourage their involvement with the school.
- Organize alumni events such as reunions, networking events, and webinars.
- Maintain and update the alumni database, ensuring accurate contact information and engagement records.
- Alumni outreach for: (b) Career Day/Post Secondary Day planning; (c) BAS Review content
- Identifying community mazel tovs (posting to FB/newsletter, sending cards/gifts)
2. Social Media and Communications:
- Develop and manage the school’s social media presence, including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Instagram.
- Create engaging content for social media platforms, including posts, graphics, and videos.
- Monitor social media channels for engagement opportunities and respond to inquiries or comments in a timely manner.
- Design and execute digital marketing campaigns to promote events, initiatives, and alumni achievements.
3. Event Planning and Coordination:
- Coordinate logistics for alumni and community events, including grandparent and parent learning programs.
- Work with internal teams to ensure events align with the school’s brand and objectives.
- Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions and high-quality outcomes.
4. Additional Responsibilities:
- Solicitation calls for Day of Giving, getting alumni ambassadors videos
- Stay informed about trends and best practices in alumni relations, community engagement, and digital marketing.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Managing Director or other senior staff.
- Bereavement updates
- Weekly school newsletter publication.
Qualificatons:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field is desirable.
- Proven ability to create and manage social media content and campaigns.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong social skills is highly desirable
