Temple Sinai preschool is a vibrant and growing community. We are looking for an experienced early years educator with management and leadership experience to work alongside our wonderful current preschool director. Together you will innovate and grow our community preschool programs as well as informal programs for families. The Co-Directors are responsible for the oversight and administration of the day-to-day operations and relationship-building with families in a Reform Jewish setting.
Areas of Responsibility Include:
- Staff supervision and training
- Budgeting and administration of program
- Strategic Planning and reporting
- Community building through relationship building with families and stakeholders
- Program development that reflects current practice and innovation
- Communications planning and implementation to generate program enrollment
Qualificatons:
- Understanding of the Ontario Ministry of Education Child Care and Early Years Act, Child Care Licensing (CCLS), The Canada-wide Early Learning and Child Care program (CWELCC), Assessment for Quality Improvement (AQI) and Public Health Guidelines.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the field of education in a position of leadership.
- Member of the Ontario College of Early Childhood Educators
- Ability to work collaboratively and with flexibility to meet the needs of various stakeholders
- Ability to guide, motivate, and supervise teachers to fulfill Ministry mandates and support all our students
- Facilitate problem solving and resolution of problems
- Current satisfactory Police Criminal Reference Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening
- Valid First Aid training
