Dodds Garage Doors is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Vice President of Sales to lead and grow our team. As the ideal candidate, you will possess strong leadership qualities with a strong communication style, a passion for problem-solving, and can inspire the team. As a risk-taker and self-starter, you will be instrumental in shaping and responsible for executing our sales strategy, building a high-performing team, and driving growth across the business. The Vice President of Sales will report directly to the CEO with 15 direct reports and will be a pivotal part of the company’s leadership team, helping to innovate and control the big picture.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
50% Sales Management:
· Lead and mentor the sales team, setting clear goals, expectations, and performance metrics.
· Advocate for the team and support their development
· Oversee hiring and subsequent training
· Foster a people-oriented culture that promotes collaboration, high performance, and continuous improvement.
· Experience managing people and leveraging relationships
50% Business Development:
· Develop strategies, set targets, and implement a CRM system
· Make quick, effective decisions to drive results and address challenges in a fast-paced environment.
· Cultivate strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders to expand business opportunities in sectors such as industrial maintenance, multi-residential properties, and car dealerships
· Drive innovation and new initiatives to ensure continued growth and competitive positioning in the marketplace.
Professional Experience:
· 5+ years of leading and developing a field sales team
· Direct experience setting budgets, training, mentoring, and negotiating
· Proven track record of success in driving sales growth and leading teams to achieve high performance.
· Strong strategic mindset, with the ability to think critically and adapt to changing conditions.
· Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Compensation:
· $150,000 (base salary) + incentive
Job Type: Full-time, permanent, 5x a week in office
Location: Greater Toronto Area, or Kitchener-Waterloo Region
