The Toronto Heschel School is an innovative Jewish Day School with classes from Nursery to Grade 8. The Toronto Heschel School is an interdenominational Jewish day school that provides an academically innovative, integrated curriculum in a warm, nurturing environment. The integrated, arts-based curriculum promotes a deeper understanding of the content and allows children to apply their learning across all disciplines. Qualificatons:
  • Registered with the College of ECEs and in good standing with the College (RECE) or   OCT Registered Teacher.
  • Experience teaching Junior or Senior Kindergarten
  • Strong understanding of child development
  • Able to speak some Hebrew an asset / open to learning
  • Capable of implementing an integrated/general studies curricula
  • Adept at helping children navigate their social and emotional world
  • Strong understanding of the principles of play and how to enhance children’s play

Required Documentation

  • Current and clear Vulnerable Sector Check (Police Reference Check).
  • Up-to-date immunization record.
  • Valid Standard First Aid and CPR (Level C).
