Netivot HaTorah a dynamic Modern Orthodox day school, is looking for Educators to join our dedicated team of faculty and administrators to guide, support and inspire students, teachers and parents. Our well-rounded, rigorous, dual curriculum program serves over 600 students in Pre-Nursery through Grade 8, delivering an outstanding Jewish and General studies education.

We are currently hiring for the following positions:

  • Female Physical Education Teacher
  • Middle School Language Arts and Social Studies – LTO (Sept-Dec)
  • Gan Assistant with ECE Credentials at South Campus

FEMALE PHYSICAL EDUCATION TEACHER 

The successful candidate for the position of Phys. Ed. Teacher will:

  • Embrace the mission, vision and community of Netivot HaTorah;
  • Create lessons and curricula tailored to meet a range of student interests and plan further action based on related proficiencies 

    MIDDLE SCHOOL LANGUAGE ARTS & SOCIAL STUDIES – PART TIME LTO (SEPT- DEC) 

    The Middle School Language Arts and Social Studies Teacher will report to the Principal, and be responsible for supporting the diverse learning needs of our student community. The ideal candidate for the position of Middle School Language Arts and Social Studies will:

    • Embrace the mission, vision and community of Netivot HaTorah;
    • Guide, observe and assist classroom teachers with instructional techniques and practices that will improve learning for all students, and specifically those with learning disabilities and other exceptionalities;
    • Create lessons and curricula tailored to meet a range of student interests and plan further action based on related proficiencies. 

      GAN TEACHING ASSISTANT WITH ECE FOR SOUTH CAMPUS

      The assistant will report to the Gan Director and work at Netivot’s South Campus at Shaarei Shomayim.

     

Qualificatons:

Netivot HaTorah seeks a Phys. Ed. Teacher with the following qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Education with teacher college certification or equivalent

OCT qualified

  • Intermediate certification an asset
  • Familiarity with the Ontario Ministry of Education Curriculum
  • Familiarity with current technology and assessment methods
  • Knowledge of current thought and practice in child development
  • Is a responsive, articulate, and adept communicator, while also being an effective listener;
  • Enjoys being a member of a school community who connects with students, parents, and faculty with ease and sincerity;
  • Has a decision-making style that balances input, collaboration, and decisiveness and who approaches difficult conversations with directness and kindness;
  • Is highly organized and detail oriented;
  • Is deeply knowledgeable about best practices in teaching and learning.

MIDDLE SCHOOL LANGUAGE ARTS & SOCIAL STUDIES Qualifications include:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Education with teacher college certification or equivalent
  • OCT qualified
  • Intermediate certification an asset
  • Familiarity with the Ontario Ministry of Education Curriculum
  • Familiarity with current technology and assessment methods
  • Knowledge of current thought and practice in child development
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Being a member of a school community who connects with students, parents, and faculty with ease and sincerity
  • A decision-making style that balances input, collaboration, and decisiveness and who approaches difficult conversations with directness and kindness
  • Deeply knowledgeable about best practices in teaching and learning

GAN TEACHING ASSISTANT 

Successful candidates, who will collaborate with teachers and administrators, will have the following qualifications:

  • A degree or qualification in ECE or education (OCT) or studying towards RECE is required
  • Proficiency in play based and inquiry based learning (for early childhood)
  • Interest in participating in a mentor-mentee relationship, facilitated by the school
  • Knowledge of current thought and practice in child development
