We are seeking: ELEMENTARY JUDAIC STUDIES TEACHER
Job Description:
The successful candidate will collaborate with teachers and administrators, as well as grade partners and teams. The candidate must be knowledgeable in the judaic studies subjects which include but are not limited to Ivrit, Tanach, Chagim, Tefillah, and Israel studies. The successful candidate understands and applies a variety of approaches to instruction, including balanced instruction, assessments for, of and as learning and be able to implement a wide variety of instructional strategies.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
● Planning, instruction, assessment and evaluation
● Supporting program implementation using the Ontario Ministry curriculum, Associated Hebrew School curriculum, and other resources
● Choosing appropriate and current resources that support the content in the program
● Facility with instructional technology including use of SMARTboard, Google Apps for Education and other Internet based educational programs
Qualificatons:
Candidates should be qualified in the particular area for the position they apply for. As we employ an Ivrit b’Ivrit approach to our Judaic Studies curriculum, the successful candidate must be proficient in Hebrew.
