Financial Reporting Analyst (12-Month Contract)
JIAS Toronto is seeking a Financial Reporting Analyst to support financial reporting, analysis, and forecasting activities. This role works closely with the Finance Manager to prepare financial statements, monitor contracts, grants, and funding agreements, and support budgeting and audit processes. This is a full-time, 12-month contract position outside the bargaining unit.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and distribute monthly financial statements and reports.
- Analyze budget variances and assist with forecasting.
- Support year-end financial processes and audits.
- Develop budget templates and projection tools.
- Monitor and maintain financial controls for contracts, grants, and donor reports.
- Assist in financial reconciliations and transaction analysis.
- Communicate financial insights to management and the Board.
Qualificatons:
Candidates require a bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration (BBA) with an accounting focus. Knowledge of Canadian financial regulations, CRA guidelines for charities, and experience in nonprofit financial reporting is preferred. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively are essential.
