Our team thrives on innovation, collaboration, and pushing the boundaries of what’s possible. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a new Intermediate Accountant to join us in our mission.

 

Position Overview:

As the Intermediate Accountant, you will be an instrumental team member working closely with the CFO on all day-to-day financial transactions such as accounts payables, accounts receivables, payroll and reconciliations as well as routine financial report preparation. You will collaborate closely with department heads to coordinate budgets, accountability to forecasted expenses, refine existing vendor management best practices and own and execute the procurement function for parts and services that fuel our manufacturing operations. In this role you will be exposed to and be responsible for a broad array of financial and manufacturing operational functions and support. The ideal candidate is career growth orientated, analytical, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, multi-cultural environment and never views any task as too administrative.

 

Key Responsibilities – What your role will require from you:

Prepare financial reports, statements, analysis & maintain financial schedules and statistical data, including reviewing and analyzing financial data and performance indicators.

Entry of financial transactions, journal entries, adjustments, trial balances & monthly financials.

Collection of accounts receivables and payables, including entry of receipts, bank deposits and solving discrepancies on accounts and invoices.

Monthly account reconciliations and closing journal entries, including managing ongoing expenses, cash flows and budgets. Filing and reporting HST, EI, WSIB.

Lead the procurement and inventory control function, including refining and maintaining preferred vendor lists and procurement process, issuing purchase orders, and overall vendor coordination.

Qualificatons:

Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills

Excellent communication, collaboration and team-player abilities.

Minimum 3+ years related experience (an asset if in a manufacturing environment)

Finance or Accounting Degree (CPA designated or enrolled in program)

Experience with purchasing/procurement an asset

Demonstrated history of adapting to new processes and systems, openness to learn

Strong computer proficiency in MS Office and experience with QuickBooks an asset
