About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and skilled individual to join our team as Manager of Jewish Life & Culture. In this role, you will be responsible for the development, leadership and support of culturally responsive Jewish programs and services. The manager will support the integration of Jewish and organizational values and practices into Agency services and ensure services are client-centered, culturally appropriate and inclusive, and aligned with best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead initiatives to embed Jewish values, traditions, and perspectives into programs across the Agency
  • Lead and support a team delivering Holocaust Survivor services, Jewish cultural initiatives, and outreach to and with diverse Jewish communities.
  • Ensure all programming reflects trauma-informed care, cultural responsiveness, and an understanding of the ongoing impact of antisemitism on individuals and communities.
  • Act as a liaison with diverse Jewish communities, facilitating dialogue and fostering meaningful relationships and collaborations.
  • Build, foster, and maintain partnerships with Jewish community organizations, synagogues, Holocaust Survivor networks, and funders (e.g., UJA, Azrieli Foundation).
  • Represent JF&CS in Agency-wide initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualificatons:
  • Master’s degree in Social Work or equivalent graduate degree in a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive leadership experience in community or social services, including direct staff supervision, budget oversight, and program development.
  • Working knowledge of Jewish history, experience, culture, and traditions across diverse expressions of identity and practice.
  • Demonstrated experience in Jewish communal settings, social service settings or lived experience that reflects a deep commitment to Jewish life, culture and community support.
  • Strong understanding of the personal and systemic impact of antisemitism.
  • Registered and in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW).
  • Commitment to client-centered care, equity, diversity, inclusion, and trauma-informed service delivery.
  • Proficiency in Hebrew, Russian and Yiddish is considered a strong asset.

Additional Information:
Salary Range:              $90,000-$115,000
