Netivot HaTorah, is a dynamic Modern Orthodox day school committed to delivering an outstanding Jewish and General studies education from Pre-Nursery to Grade 8.  The School has a population of 650 students, 120 staff and operates classes out of 3 buildings.

We are hiring an Operations Manager to ensure the smooth operation of the School by overseeing the day-day operations of the front office and school buildings. This is a supervisory position overseeing a team of front office and building maintenance staff. This position reports to the Executive Director.


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Overseeing a front office team of 7 staff – including hiring, training and supervising daily work assignments
  • Implementing and maintaining procedures for office administrative systems such as safe arrival, attendance, dismissal system, student records
  • Maintain equipment and supply inventories and manage the purchasing process across departments
  • Coordinate School safety plan by maintaining emergency plans and procedures for fire drills and evacuation and liaise with health and safety committee to address any safety concerns
  • Coordinate with school security guards for daily routine/after school events
  • Work with the licensing coordinator to ensure licensed classrooms meet all requirements
  • Liaison with renters to ensure appropriate room set up
  • In summer, manage the process of preparing the school building for the start of the school year
  • Provide oversight to the facilities coordinator on management of the maintenance staff, daily school set ups, coordination of cleaning service and coordination with vendors for repairs and maintenance
  • Experience working in an administrative role in a fast-paced environment, experience in a school setting is an asset
  • Proven leadership skills to hire, train, manage and motivate staff
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, interpersonal, verbal & written communication skills
  • Strong planning and prioritization skills
  • Collaborative team player
  • Familiarity and experience in managing budgets
  • Proficient in using Excel and Google Apps
  • Familiarity with modern orthodox school culture (an asset)
