Since 2006, Chai Lifeline Canada has been providing services to children and families who are impacted by chronic or life-threatening illness. Reporting directly to the Regional Director of Montreal, the Program Coordinator is responsible for handling our office functions, planning our family events & budget, and will be integral in our organizational evaluation and measurement. The successful candidate must be self-motivated, organized, creative and a good communicator.
We have flexibility, based on the candidate’s preference, to allow for a 5 or 4 day work week. This is an onsite position.
Responsibilities will include:
- Administer and oversee all office needs, and purchasing, vendor negotiation, reconciling expenses, and managing various program budgets.
- Planning and implementation of our fun client family events, trips as well as other client services.
- Provide support for fundraising events, donor stewardship and processing of donations.
- Collaborate with and provide support to staff.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualificatons:
- At least 3 years of successful and relevant work experience.
- Able to work on occasional Sundays or evenings when we have events (about once a month).
- Competent with computers (Microsoft Word, Excel, Whatsapp, use of internet & social media- must have smartphone).
- Good writing skills, creative, organized and is able to be assertive when required.
- Good knowledge of kosher requirements and Jewish tradition.
- Ability to work well autonomously as well as with a diverse team of colleagues.
- Access to a car and holds a driver’s license.
- Post secondary education is required.
- Fluent in English and solid conversational French. Good writing skills in English.
- Not required, but an asset: skills in photography / videography
