Settlement Supervisor

JIAS Toronto is seeking a Settlement Supervisor to lead a team of settlement workers providing direct services to immigrants and refugees. This role ensures service excellence, compliance with reporting requirements, and adherence to best practices and professional standards.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise, train, and support settlement team members.
  • Assist in recruiting, onboarding, and mentoring staff.
  • Review staff documentation for compliance and provide coaching.
  • Provide updates to the Clinical Manager on client cases and staff progress.
  • Manage a reduced caseload of clients.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support private sponsorship programs.
  • Lead community outreach efforts to promote JIAS services.
  • Ensure timely and accurate case documentation.
Qualificatons:

Candidates require a Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field and registration with a regulatory college. A minimum of three years of supervisory experience in a social service organization, along with extensive clinical practice and newcomer settlement experience, is essential. Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills, along with advanced Microsoft Office proficiency, are required. Fluency in languages relevant to JIAS Toronto’s client base is an asset.
