Job Description: Vice Principal

Netivot HaTorah is a dynamic Orthodox Jewish day school serving students from Pre-Nursery through Grade 8. We are seeking a passionate and experienced educational leader to join our team as Vice Principal. In this role, you will work alongside a dedicated faculty and administrative team to inspire, support, and guide students, teachers, and parents.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and supervise teaching staff and curriculum, across both General and Judaic Studies.
  • Foster a culture of creativity, collaboration, and innovation in the classroom and across the school community.
  • Guide teacher development, curriculum refinement, and instructional best practices.
  • Work collaboratively with the Podolski-NESS Department to ensure the academic program meets the diverse needs of all learners.
  • Promote positive parent-school-student relationships and support teachers with parent communication.
  • Collaborate with other administrators to oversee student discipline and support teachers with classroom management strategies.
  • Leverage educational technology and 21st-century learning strategies to enhance the student experience.
  • Collaborate with senior administration to maintain consistency in curriculum delivery, academic standards, and social-emotional development.
  • Initiate, plan and implement key stakeholder programs throughout the year.
Qualificatons:
  • Master’s Degree in Education or equivalent (Smicha is an asset but not required).
  • Leadership qualifications, ideally in Ontario (PQP).
  • Minimum of 5 years of successful teaching and leadership experience; prior administrative experience preferred.
  • Strong communicator who listens well and engages with faculty, students, and parents.
  • Ability to make decisions with balance, clarity, and empathy, even in challenging situations.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and committed to operational excellence.
  • Deep understanding of best practices in teaching, learning, and student development.
