Volunteer and Community Engagement Coordinator 

JIAS Toronto is seeking a Volunteer and Community Engagement Coordinator to support volunteer recruitment, training, and community engagement initiatives. This role ensures volunteers are effectively screened, oriented, and matched with opportunities while also assisting with program planning and evaluation.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage volunteer recruitment, screening, and intake process.
  • Oversee volunteer training and ensure a positive volunteer experience.
  • Respond to and coordinate volunteer matching requests.
  • Develop and maintain outreach and marketing strategies for volunteers.
  • Represent JIAS Toronto to external stakeholders to promote awareness and engagement.
  • Monitor and evaluate program activities to meet deliverables.
  • Support budgets, financial tracking, and reporting requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners.
Qualificatons:

Candidates require a degree or diploma in Human Services, Social Work, or a related field, with experience in the settlement, non-profit, or social service sectors. Strong organizational, communication, and Microsoft Office skills are essential, with Salesforce experience preferred. Ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel within the GTA is required. Fluency in languages relevant to JIAS Toronto’s client base is an asset.
