Reading Specialists

Eitz Chaim Schools – Viewmount is seeking passionate, knowledgeable, and collaborative Reading Specialists to join our growing student support team. We are looking for educators who believe deeply in student-centered learning and are excited to work alongside teachers to strengthen literacy outcomes for all learners.

The ideal candidate is a skilled literacy educator with strong knowledge of evidence-based reading instruction and experience supporting students with diverse learning profiles.

Qualificatons:
  • Teaching degree required
  • Experience in Special Education
  • Certification/training in the Science of Reading
  • Experience implementing UFLI Foundations
  • Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) membership is considered an asset, but is not mandatory

Successful candidates will:

  • Collaborate effectively with classroom teachers, student support staff, and school leadership
  • Confidently coach and guide teachers in implementing effective literacy practices
  • Use evidence-based, structured literacy approaches to support student growth
  • Demonstrate flexibility, initiative, and strong problem-solving skills
  • Build positive relationships with students and families
  • Support inclusive, student-centered learning environments where all learners can thrive
