Job Opportunity: Bus Monitor for School in Thornhills
Position: Part-time fixed term contract
Start date: Immediately
End date: June 24, 2026 with potential for renewal
Positions available: 2
Pay $35.00 per Hour
A school in Thornhill is seeking 2 responsible and caring Bus Monitors to supervise students in Grades 1-8 during their daily commute Monday to Friday and of one of the bus monitors to also supervise students in grades 4-8 on Sundays.
Position 1 : Bus 1 -Start Date: February 2026
Supervise students in Grades 6-8 during their daily commute to and from Thornhill, Monday to Friday and Sunday
Morning Route: Pick-up starts at a south location at 7:00 AM
Afternoon Route: Return trip starts at 5:05 PM
Position 2: Bus 2 -Start Date: February 2026
Job Details:
Supervise students in Grades 1-6 during their daily commute to and from Thornhill.
Monday to Friday
Morning Route: Pick-up starts at a south location at 8:00 AM
Afternoon Route: Return trip starts at 4:20 PM
Additional Weekly Sunday Route open Bus Monitor 1 or 2 if interested in an extra day.
Sunday Morning route: Pick-up starts at 8:12 AM
Sunday Afternoon Route: Return trip starts at 12:50 PM
Qualificatons:
- Punctuality and reliability.
- A positive attitude and ability to supervise young children effectively.
- Previous experience working with children is an asset but not required.
