AN EXCITING OPPORTUNITY
The Director, Marketing C Events will be responsible for the planning, execution, and oversight of signature events and marketing initiatives that drive engagement, brand awareness, and fundraising success for the Annual Campaign. This role is ideal for a strategic and creative professional who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Reporting to the National Executive Director, the Director will develop and implement marketing strategies, manage digital and social media campaigns, oversee sponsorship and donor engagement efforts, and lead event production from concept to execution. This role will also work closely with volunteers, corporate partners, and community stakeholders to maximize reach and impact.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Event Management & Fundraising
- Plan, coordinate, and execute all major fundraising and engagement events, ensuring high- quality experiences that align with brand and revenue goals.
- Develop event-related marketing materials, sponsorship proposals, and donor engagement tools.
- Secure sponsorships, in-kind donations, and partnerships to support events and campaigns.
- Work with volunteer committees to drive participation and community involvement in events.
- Support and grow third-party fundraising initiatives, identifying new opportunities for collaboration.
- Manage event logistics, including budgeting, vendor relationships, critical paths, and onsite execution.
Marketing & Digital Strategy
- Develop and implement marketing campaigns to increase brand awareness, donor engagement, and event participation.
- Manage and create content for digital platforms, including the website, social media, email marketing, and online advertising.
- Design and execute social media strategies to drive engagement, event attendance, and fundraising results.
- Oversee the production of digital and print collateral, including newsletters, sponsorship materials, impact reports, and promotional materials.
- Track and analyze marketing campaign performance, optimizing strategies based on data insights.
Community & Public Relations
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, sponsors, donors, and volunteers.
- Identify and develop strategic partnerships with community organizations to enhance visibility and impact.
- Develop and execute public relations initiatives, including media outreach, press releases, and storytelling efforts.
- Represent the organization at key events, networking opportunities, and industry gatherings.
Qualificatons:
- Diploma or Degree in Marketing, Communications, Event Management, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in event management, marketing, or fundraising within the nonprofit sector.
- Strong digital marketing skills, including experience with social media strategy, email marketing, and website management (WordPress preferred).
- Proven success in securing sponsorships, donor engagement, and event execution.
- Graphic design experience using tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) is an asset.
- Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills
