Director of Integrated Jewish Education (Formal & Informal)

NCSY Canada

Description:

NCSY Canada is Hiring!

Director of Integrated Jewish Education (Formal & Informal)

About NCSY Canada & Torah High

NCSY Canada is dedicated to inspiring Jewish teens to connect deeply with their identity, their people, and their Torah. Through dynamic programming—Shabbatons, clubs, trips, learning initiatives, and one-on-one relationships—we create life-changing experiences for thousands of teens across the country.

Torah High provides accredited Jewish studies education to public school students, offering them the opportunity to earn credits while engaging meaningfully with Torah learning in a relevant, real-world way.

At our core, we believe something simple but powerful: inspiration changes lives. A moment of connection can shape a trajectory. A relationship can open a door. Our work is to create those moments—and then build systems that multiply them across every program, every school, and every student.

 Position Overview

The Director of Integrated Jewish Education will serve as the architect of NCSY Canada’s educational vision—bridging formal and informal education into one seamless, strategic experience.

This role is responsible for designing and implementing a cohesive educational framework that connects all touchpoints in a teen’s journey: JSU, Torah High, Shabbatons, summer programs, school partnerships, and ongoing engagement.

The goal: no experience stands alone. Every program reinforces the next. Every student is part of a larger, intentional journey.

  • Create a clear annual educational arc aligned with the Jewish calendar.
  • Ensure consistency of messaging, values, and growth across all platforms.

  • Provide tools to help staff:
    • Facilitate meaningful conversations
    • Build educational continuity
    • Inspire and mentor teens
  • Serve as a thought-partner to program directors and educators.

3. Student Journey Mapping

  • Define and track the student journey from first touchpoint to long-term engagement.
  • Identify gaps and opportunities to deepen impact.
Qualificatons:
  • Strong background in Jewish education (formal and/or informal)
  • Deep understanding of traditional Jewish values and practice
  • Experience in curriculum design, experiential education, or program development
  • Ability to think strategically while executing practically
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills
  • Passion for teen engagement and relationship-based education
  • Creative, entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on impact

This is not a classroom teaching role—it is a vision-building, system-creating, impact-driving leadership position.

The right candidate will help ensure that every encounter a teen has with NCSY is not just a moment—but part of a journey. A journey that opens doors, builds identity, and ultimately transforms lives.
