Position Overview

We are seeking a warm, nurturing, and enthusiastic Judaic Studies Educator to join our Daycare and Kindergarten team. The ideal candidate brings a love for Judaism, early childhood education, and fostering meaningful connections with children and families.

Core Responsibilities

  • Lead a 10- 15 minute davening circle followed by an engaging, age-appropriate 45 minute Judaics lesson in the Nursery (age 3) and Junior Kindergarten (age 4) classrooms.
  • Teach age-appropriate Judaic Studies content including: Jewish holidays and traditions, Tefillot and Brachot, Shabbat, Jewish values and love for Eretz Yisrael.
  • Use music, movement, sensory activities, storytelling, crafts, and interactive learning to bring Judaic concepts to life.
  • Foster a warm, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment rooted in Torah values and positive middot.
  • Maintain classroom organization, routines, and expectations that support student success.
  • Collaborate closely with classroom teachers, support staff and administration when applicable.
  • Participate in school programming, holiday celebrations, special events, and staff meetings. Communicate professionally and warmly with parents regarding student growth and classroom activities.

 

 

 

Qualificatons:

Qualifications

  • Background in Early Childhood Education and/or Judaic Studies education.
  • Experience working with preschool-aged children in a classroom or childcare setting preferred. Strong knowledge of Jewish holidays, traditions and songs.
  • Passion for Jewish education and fostering a love of Judaism in young children.
  • Warm, energetic, patient, and nurturing personality. Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. Creativity, flexibility, and enthusiasm for hands-on learning.
  • Commitment to creating a positive and supportive learning environment for every child.
