Qualificatons:

Candidates must have the following qualifications and skills:

• Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) member in good standing or equivalent teacher certification (for General Studies position)
• Knowledge of Ontario curriculum in applicable subject areas
• Excellent classroom management
• Professionalism, flexibility, collaborative nature
• Excellent communication skills
• Drive for lifelong learning and growth

The following training and demonstrated competencies would be an asset:

• Teaching experience, ideally in a similar school setting
• Having a deep understanding of suitable pedagogies with relevance to various learning styles
• Experience in implementing student-centred, interactive, and collaborative learning
• Ability to capably assess and monitor student progress and provide feedback
• Experience collaborating with other teachers, support staff, parents, and administration
